Letting Go

I am reminded today that even when in my heart I trust God and have faith in Him, I sometimes find myself struggling when the truth seems inconvenient. It is easy to label an occurrence as divine intervention when we experience something that we deem as good or pleasant; yet when troubles or pain and suffering come, we question God about such misfortunes that befall us. Experiencing difficulties in life is part of God’s way of molding us into becoming the person who He intends for us to be. When we begin to understand God’s nature, we begin to see clearly what is happening and even when it’s hard to understand, we can trust that God will enable us to be victorious even when we are in despair.

Just last Sunday, I learned that to be able to experience God’s blessing,  we must live inside the triangle of God’s blessing through faith and obedience; not faith or obedience – we must have that conviction that faith and obedience should work hand in hand. There will be times when it’s hard to see that a great and loving God has planned for the painful experiences we have to go through – that’s why it takes a leap of faith to believe that all things work together for our good. Yes, there will be days when our doubts and fears will cast a shadow of unbelief in our selves, yet through our unseeing but believing heart, we know that we only need to take that first step in obedience to God’s  leading and we can trust that He will carry us through.

We can entrust our future to God.
